getting fit has never changed, just the marketing!!!

I am sick to death of seeing the ALL NEW exercise machines and the NEVER BEFORE SEEN weight loss powders.

I picked up a book the other called 'Lose Weight - with Dr James Wright'.

In that book, Dr Wright says the following:

Possibly the single most important factor in reducing weight is the value of exercise. The more you exercise, the more energy you burn up and the more kj's you use.

That makes sense doesn't it. Pretty INNOVATIVE stuff!!!

Guess what???

That book was published in 1982.

26 YEARS AGO!!!

The way to get fit and healthy hasn't changed, just the marketing that is sold to us.

We are told we need the great machines of the 21st century because they are the best way to beat the kilos.

Well, I believe in a little bit of patience, dedication to your goal and some hard work and sweat.

I know what your thinking...

hard work!!!

No one told me that would be part of getting a fitter, better looking body
(I know that doesn't get talked about a lot in the year 2008, but hey give it a go!!!)

I have to admit I have a cross trainer at home and it get used occassionally, usually if it is raining. It is my - no excuse to exercise machine. I don't expect it to really give me results, just get me moving while watching tv.
